Fall for Fillers: The Best Fillers for the Fall Season

With its warm, golden colors and cool weather, fall gives us plenty to enjoy before the world slows down for winter.

After summer, many people are bothered by issues like sun spots, wrinkles, and volume loss from being active out in the sun.

But life moves faster as the days grow shorter, leaving many people pressed for time during the fall season with no time to dedicate to cosmetic procedures.

What they don’t realize, however, is that multiple lunch-time procedures offer a quick remedy with little to no downtime.

Dermal fillers are a non-invasive way to turn back the hands of time and look younger even as the weather turns.

What Are Dermal Fillers and Injectables?

Simply put, dermal fillers are injectable substances that are used to fill and rejuvenate the face.

Fillers are incredibly versatile, can be used in nearly any area, tolerated well by almost all patients, and easy to administer.

Why Is Fall a Good Time for Fillers?

Fast Treatments, Quick Results

Fall is a busy time of year for most of us, and it can be hard to take care of yourself.

Filler treatments, however, make it easy for anyone to enjoy a little boost of rejuvenation.

Most fillers are quickly administered, with treatments often taking minutes to complete.

All it can take is a simple doctor’s visit for patients to leave with visibly smoother skin or uplifted features—and little to no side effects in return.

Shorter Days, Less Sun Exposure

One advantage fillers have over other cosmetic treatments is that they don’t cause many side effects or require a long healing time.

But treated areas do require some special care, particularly when it comes to avoiding the sun.

Fortunately, fall makes it easier to avoid the sun’s damaging rays as days start to get shorter.

We simply have less sun to deal with, making fall a good time to consider getting a filler treatment—while still enjoying the beautiful weather!

Types of Fillers and Where To Use Them

BOTOX® Cosmetic

One of the most popular cosmetic treatments available, BOTOX® Cosmetic is used to smooth creases all over the face. Treatments are particularly effective at treating wrinkles around the eyes, brows, and on the forehead.

Dysport®

Dysport® uses a slightly different form of the botulinum toxin to deliver results that are just as effective. A cost-conscious alternative to BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments correct “frown lines” around the mouth.

JUVÉDERM®

These fillers use hyaluronic acid to boost the skin’s own production of collagen and leaves skin smoother, brighter, and younger. There are several different varieties of JUVÉDERM® available:

JUVÉDERM® Ultra

A mother in her 60s and the visible effects before and after receiving JUVEDERM Ultra treatments.

Treats fine lines, wrinkles, and creases along face and neck.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC

Treats facial wrinkles and is also used to plump and smoothen lips.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus

A stronger, thicker formula that’s used to target deep wrinkles, marionette lines, and other creases.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC

The strongest form of JUVÉDERM® available, this filler is used for deep tissue correction and targeting deep creases.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

An injectable gel that’s used to fill lips and smooth out wrinkles around the mouth.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC

An injectable gel that smooths out moderate creases and restores lost volume, especially hollow areas in the cheeks.

Restylane®

This filler also uses hyaluronic acid to smooth creases and wrinkles. Treats aging around the mouth and on the lips.

Sculptra® Aesthetic

This treatment uses a synthetic substance called poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate the body’s collagen production and replace lost volume. Treatments correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds, including smile lines, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles. Results appear gradually but are designed to last for years.

Consistency Is Key

Fillers provide results that can last a very long time, but rarely permanently. Most fillers will require a repeat visit to keep up results. Consistent and regular treatments are the best way to get optimal improvement.
